Although I didn’t act out like Tracy did, I definitely understand how she feels, now and at 13. This movie just shows how abuse, bad home situations, neglect, trauma, sexism, mental illness etc can affect a 13 year olds mind. A big criticism I hear is that it’s not realistic, but I would actually argue the opposite, although most of us may not have acted out like this, the feelings and relationships in this movie are realer than anything.
