  First half was 5 stars but then I progressively became less invested. First time I can say “oh I see how x director has evolved.” This is less technically precise Wes Anderson but still many  of his trademarks.

  Craziest part of this movie may have been how excited everyone was counting down to new years. 

  I thought this was a very good movie but I’m sorta surprised how much everyone loved/5 starred it. Really cool plot and good acting but I thought it was a little long (pacing a touch slow) and I wanted a little more character development from everyone not named Annie. 

  The ending was fire though. Worth a watch for surely.

  So epic. Maybe even more epic that I watched this while I was “working” and told them I was at the dentist. Hard to discount that from the ranking. Not my fav ghibli but epic, emotive, and enthralling.
