A strange relic of early CGI that has aged into a Lynchian nightmare, Tony de Peltrie should be seen by everyone to show that how all advancements, even the most breathtaking steps forward (John Lasseter reportedly stated, "Years from now Tony de Peltrie will be looked upon as the landmark piece, where real, fleshy characters were first animated by computer.") will likely become extremely antiquated. Despite its numerous flaws, the film is fascinating to watch, especially considering how the poorly aged animation strangely compliments the characters declining mental state, making one question if it was intended as nightmare fuel.
