The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2023
I'm giving this 5 stars because I simply do not understand how the visuals can be so good.
I got emotional looking at the forest scenes on the big screen, and seeing the individual blades of grass moving with the wind.
The characters have real skin with pores, and their moustaches are formed of individual hairs. And yet it's not at all uncanny valley, and the lighting is spectacularly beautiful and lifelike throughout.
How did we get from Toy Story to this?
