Queer 2024
Always wondered what it felt like to watch Amelie for the first time, probably kind of like this. On the Amelie scale it’s definitely not as queer but it’s…different.
There’s so much beauty and movement and beautiful movements in the backdrop of this, whilst the characters are toiling with internal chaos.
You can taste the yearning and hunger. Maybe lust is better/more powerful than love.Special shout out: Mexico city in the 50s, Nirvana, linen suits, a crisp cold bottle of coke and red carpets.

Conclave 2024
Visually stunning. A crises of faith with religious institutions..rightfully, so. If you’re into pensive, complex characters who aren’t completely fleshed out in one sitting, give this a watch. We’re all just human, at the end of the day.
Honorable mentions: Ralph Fiennes constantly furrowed brow and a properly pronounced Yoruba phrase.
