Inland Empire 2006
The irony of showing a clip of Lynch complaining about people watching movies on their phones before showing this film - all shaky, grainy DV which kinda looks like shit when blown up on the big screen. After three hours of this I left the cinema feeling like Laura Dern: confused, dehydrated, stabbed with a screwdriver. Maybe that was the point?

Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth 1992
There's way more 'Nam/WWI flashbacks in this than I would have expected in a Hellraiser flick. Also turns out this is the source of a couple samples in some industrial bangers by Front Line Assembly so I'm glad it exists for that reason lol. The Motörhead tie-in clip for "Hellraiser" is the super fun TLDW of this.

Almost totally devoid of the goofy charm of the TV series, this is a chilling watch that I didn't quite appreciate first time round, probably due to the jarring tonal shift - even the usually chipper Cooper is oddly sombre (but that could also be because he is trapped in a parallel dimension of pure evil). Special shoutout to David Bowie's absolutely unhinged cameo.
