This was a feast for the eyes and therapy for the heart. Visually, I was blown away by the detail. The fire. Every time a candle or a lamp or a campfire appeared in this series I was nearly brought to tears. But I was probably already in tears. Because the emotion in this anime was so intense and so well done.
I loved the ambiguous setting—the futuristic robotics combined with old typewriters and black-and-white photography. Mixed styles of dress from various time periods. Nods to different world wars and different countries and different players. It was so beautiful.
