  it's alright. pretty good world building, some interesting ideas and well acted enough. some of the major plot points are beyond contrived. ultimately just not enough meat on the bone to elevate it beyond a solid watch.
  2.5 stars for the movie, + 0.5 for keeping chekhov's dong in the script

  watched this so i can finally be a bona fide seattle resident (even though i moved years ago). it's actually funny how much the seattle scene is used as window dressing but is ultimately irrelevant to the plot. arguably the emotions crowe is going for here are a bad fit to shoehorn into the world of grunge - i don't think seattle has ever been this saccharine.

  anyway, it's fine. one thing the movie does get right is how useless seattle mayors are. sad they never built that super train
