  A peculiar, authentic, weird, and powerful film (especially for queer folks like myself). One of the few films that really hit home for me in a long while. It was an experience to see a well-portrayed 90's - 2000's setting with the mid-western American suburbia and authentic VHS effects used for the TV show (especially appreciate that those scenes were largely displayed in 4:3 aspect ratio).   This film beautifully utilizes the saying "show, not tell".

  I was moved by the slow, gradual progression of a simple yet skillfully executed story of a photographer's relationship with this one girl who has a stern restring face throughout all of their lives. Whilst there was no dialogue in this film, their minute facial expressions towards each other and their environment was more than enough to portray their feelings and understand their characters throughout the runtime. This film is a lovely "slow burner" and touched me by the end, I'm glad I watched this.
