As an alleged lefty, pinko, anti-gun type I was concerned I would take a huge dislike to this film but it was more level headed than much of the controversy has suggested (if still not quite enough for me).

It started so well. Great direction, excellent peformances' from all of the cast, especially the girl playing Matthew McConaughay's daughter who I'm sure we will see more of in the future. The initial take off sequence was pure cinema, reminiscent of 2001: Space Odyssey. I had the feeling that I was witnessing something great.
