The Kindergarten Teacher 2018
This is one of those movies where the underwhelming Netflix synopsis does not prepare you for how good the movie actually is.
"The Kindergarten Teacher" shows the disturbing evolution of obsession: beginning with an innocent passion--in this case, with a seemingly altruistic intent--but gradually and then exponentially developing into a misguided, dangerous fixation. What makes this movie particularly disturbing is the sympathy it invokes for the main character even as her behavior becomes increasingly irrational.
Maggie Gyllenhaal's performance in this heartbreaking thriller is superb, and Parker Sevak's character is lovable.

This has everything you'd want from a legal drama. It is well-paced, perhaps slow at times yet consistently suspenseful. The acting is phenomenal. Paul Newman's performance is perfect, and the rest of the cast does not disappoint.
