Missing out on this movie when it first came out turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Many reviews I’ve read suggest that the overwhelming hype surrounding it did more harm than good, but by the time I watched it, I had completely forgotten about all the buzz. This allowed me to enjoy the film without any preconceived expectations. It was a beautiful yet heartbreaking story, and carried by two exceptional performances from Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh.
If you watched this movie at release and were slightly underwhelmed give it another chance after some time.
