incredible opening credits. beautiful build of tension, bait n switch, then everything cominbg together david lynch really understands the fear of rooms with white walls that you don't recognize. i need alice to leak the nail polish colour. gary busey delivers such a strong performance with so little screen time. great to see it in a theatre. the gore fx kinda go crazy. a tad lonng but justifies it i think. the rammstein needle drop nearly killed me dead, but genuinely a perfect soundtrack IMO. sliding doors for thriller fans who have semi-dormant psychosis

it's fucking dark and it doesn't pull punches. the characters are well-written and likeable, and then the violence is so immediate and cruel that it genuinely surprised me. suffered for me a little i think because weve had sooo much family trauma horror lately and it didnt break super new ground, but its a very well put together film and i havent felt this upset during and after a horror film in a while. i wish more horror genuinely tried…
