That’s about the saddest/disappointing way to end a film, and not in a conventional way.

The leads with the father and son were excellent and sold the emotion of the story. Every location was lived in and realistic, thanks to the on-location shots.

While I understand now that Italy likes to dub over almost all their films around this time, the dubbed over dialogue is distracting. If it’s for another language I get it, but I don’t understand that choice here with their home tongue.

I saw this in a class and I liked it. Everything was well told and acted. The filmmaking was clever with what I thought were outdoor scenes were actually built sets in some.

Great addition to the franchise, and I can’t wait for the next. While the antagonist and tensions at play are interesting, the plot and certain character motivations start to get a bit confusing. But at the end of the day, it’s the action and big set pieces that matter, and they delivered. Also I think I have a crush for Pom Klementieff now…

Forgot to log this way back when.

I enjoyed this mostly because of Robert Pattinson’s performance, along with other actors.

But while each scene was entertaining, the pacing was uneven and dragged on in some moments. Towards the end, while I liked the themes and allegory the film was presenting I wasn’t invested enough with the plot nor the stakes at hand.

Still, it’s a well put together film, and I’ll now watch anything Bong Joon Ho puts out.

    Overall okay, but slightly disappointing.
