The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent 2022
Watched this and then accidentally watched it last night thinking that I hadn’t seen it before and then vaguely knew everything that happened the whole time. Hate that feeling. But that might signal that this is a perfectly forgettable movie. Enjoyable while you watch with a charismatic cast but perfectly disposable

Meh. There’s a lot of good in this, I think the acting is really good, the shots are beautiful, and for 3/4ths of the movie it’s a compelling horror flick. But the ending is sort of laid out for you in the last 30 minutes and so I felt like it lost its spell after that.
Without knowing the source material very well or how much Eggers wanted to stick faithfully to it, I am not sure if that could…
