Ten film Wajdy, widziany jako jego magnus opus, nie jest tylko obrazem o trudnych czasach powojennej Polski, ale także głęboką refleksją nad naturą decyzji, patriotyzmu i nieuchronności losu. Czytalem, że słynny reżyser Francis Ford Coppola jest zwolennikiem tego filmu. Dumny jestem z tego, że polskie kino jest tak mile widziane przez mojego ulubionego…

Instagram reels led me to this Freudian fever dream from the Red cloak guy finger no no scene which sparked my curiosity
I read a great interpretation that the way Bill was identified by those characters he knew at the party was because of the metaphysical element of the scene. Perhaps... Worth a rewatch to judge this
Either way its all some scooby dooshit, especially given that Kubrick died 6 days after its theatrical release (while some commentators do love conspiracy, the storyline is especially intriguing in light of some events that have come to the public's attention...)

Dead Poets Society 1989
Finally got round to watching this, thanks to Disney. Carpe diem.
Believe Roger Ebert's critique is too negative and his view of the film as a 'collection of pious platitudes' is misleading. Naturally, all movies have flaws but that doesn't mean that the overall experience is corrupted. However, I also rate every movie too highly :)
An interesting take on coming of age, with an unorthodox teacher preaching the dangers of conformism- until the very thing he warned against ousts…
