    Mrs. Darcy…Mrs. Darcy…Mrs. Darcy.

Amazing, dynamic camera work. Some astonishingly beautiful sequences mixed with an amazing score. Well acted, star-studded cast. Only issue is that, even for old English, sometimes the dialogue could be a bit stiff. But very good movie.

This may be the perfect 2010s casual viewing romance movie. I mean seriously, it had it all. Not only is it a little cute, a little cheesy, and a little messy, it has a great Twee era soundtrack, it’s well shot and edited, got a strong interesting direction, a great cast, a happy ending. It truly draws the bridge between your cable viewing McConaughey RomCom and your masterful film tragedy. Amazing watch.

(editors note: much like the late naughts and early 2010’s, it’s also got a few weird threads of misogyny strewn about the script. Nothing major, but it pops up)

I watched this on a full plane and just bawled my eyes out both in my seat and in the bathroom. Speechless
