  There are a whole lot of films about heroic fathers saving their daughters or sons, there are also films where father-figure men find themselves in the position to be the saviors of a child, they all almost always succeed.

  And then there is this film where a son goes to find and save his father, and obviously fails to do so, coz you simply can't with a father. Those guys are just built different.
