  horror anthologies are underrated, and is a sub category of the genre i really enjoy. This one in particular had everything i was looking for from cheesy effects, to the creeeeepy atmosphere and plots. I especially enjoy how each “chapter” is related to one another and is tied directly to the main protagonist and linear plot. yeah idk, this was really fun! I hated the fourth chapter most

  they had me and then lost me when the sprinkle of the supernatural introduced itself into the plot. I appreciate a good spook when it came to how things were cinematically framed. but the narrative sorta lost me. this movie didnt quite meet the expectations i had in mind. it may be that i need to watch a second time but it didnt scratch that itch i had the first time. shouts out cage though, i really enjoyed him in this.

  fave vampire movie of all time, idc- you cant change my mind. 

  1) this movie takes place in alaska where it’s cold, desolate, and in a span of literally 30 days of night

  2) the vampires arent handsome / beautiful / romantic— theyre HORRIFYING AND LOUD.

  3) campy blood on white snow / contrast of colour red and white is ridiculous 

  4) placebo covers kate bush, idk what more i can say to sell this movie.
