So im rewriting this review cuz I wrote my last one while not having fully collected my thoughts on this movie and just writing something really surface level. I really enjoyed this film. I love how it plays with the idea of loneliness and the feeling of that being all consuming even in the presence of other people. It views the idea from all sorts of different angles too from it's early fixation on the internet to how it manifests even in personal relationships. Beneath the very effective horror and stylish camera work lies a relatable narrative about overwhelming pain.
