Everyone who likes this tells me it’s creative and it subverted their expectations.

My friend, this is knock off Empire Strikes Back with the throne room scene from Return of the Jedi jammed in the middle. As a first time viewer I remember thinking of the next beat in the story from Empire as it unfolded, and being greeted by disappointing predictability. Ah yes, this guy is gonna Lando them out to the Empire in 3… 2… 1…

    After VII…

Disney forced an AI to watch 10,000 hours of Star Wars and write this script.

    SPOILERS AHEAD
Also, I wrote this prediction down during the first episode and deserve at least substantial partial credit. Star Wars needs new ideas:

“Reva is one of the kids from the opening. She hates the Jedi/Obi wan for failing to protect her, hence the personal vendetta, and that’s why she (by Star Wars logic) joined the people who tried to kill her instead. She’ll probably have some kind of turn or half turn to the light by the end and then die likely by sacrificing herself”

Let’s just say if you rearrange the letters in the word SITH you get another word… THIS; and THIS is a movie I do not like.

George Lucas is a little grinning trickster who starts the movie off with a really fun scene where characters somehow manage to talk and do things at the same time. Now this isn’t the worst Star Wars movie (Mostly because while child Boba Fett is probably still an insufferable twerp, he does not make…

    Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

    ★★★★½

Spider-Man, Spider-Man does whatever a spider can; Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse (Short for Spider-Man Universe) redefines the Spider-Man genre by having over 5 Spider-Mans (Spider-Men sounds weird like creepy half spider people) and 2 Mary Janes.

Brisk, dazzling (and unique) animation, dynamic characters, and a powerful heart/message; Chris Miller and Phil Lord prove once again (LEGO movie) that they are the best in the biz at capturing the distilled essence of what makes a franchise/property so special. That’s why it’s very cool that the Mario movie is being made by the guys who did Minions instead….
