  A primary reason for Fury Road's success was it abandoned the voiding plots and shoehorned romances that plague much of the genre. Instead it focused on raw, haptic action driven by real stunts and practical effects.

  So how on earth was George Miller's take away that the sequel needed a superficial plot, shoehorned romance and more CGI???
