The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes 2023
Overall a great film that really emphasizes the brutality and callousness of the games, as well as the themes of the original series, specifically of classism and the all too common practice nowadays of separting oneself from current current tragedies in order to preserve one's own comfort and ease of life.
And it's been said before but the dichotomy of Lucy Gray being a performer forced to fight being a complete opposite of Katniss who was a fighter forced to perform made this movie be a very unique story rather than a simple rehash

Did I enjoy this film? Yes, but overall I'd say this was a mediocre movie where the best parts are overshadowed by it's pretty jarring flaws. I think without being a fan of the series this movie wouldn't have been a fun experience.
For starters, the dialog between seemed off to me, which makes sense seeing that over an hour of the film was ultimately cut for time, and it felt evident.
