some moments were really resonant but as a whole it never fully cohered to me
i love reading reviews of standup comedy. you’re all insane
pattinson and ackie are both strong and BJH’s style is always fun to watch, but the ruffalo/collette duo felt cartoonish in a grating way rather than a satirical way and pretty much all of the secondary characters felt half-baked. I think there’re interesting elements here but BJH himself has explored them better elsewhere
