Club Imagine is back! This March we again have great films to shock and bedazzle, six of them in three days, ranging from folk horror to goofball comedy, and from genre-film classics to new and exciting visions in fantastic cinema. Get ready!

Salut, Imagine Fantastic Film Festival 2024! This Saturday was our official closing night. We capped our most succesful edition ever with a screening of Belgian thriller Night Call and drinks in LAB111. Before the film, festival director Chris Oosterom announced the three films taking home an award: the Sea Devil for best feature at the and the Méliès d’Argent for Best European feature and short. Worth mentioning: Dutch genre film is doing great! Because both d’Argent awards went to Dutch films…

Imagine proudly presents the full programme for Imagine Fantastic Film Festival 2024. Just one more month till our 40th edition! From 24 October – 3 November, we’ll be taking over LAB111, De Filmhallen and Galerie Beeldend Gesproken in Amsterdam-West with the best and latest genre films, shorts and VR, including three theme programmes, 63 features, 51 shorts, 8 VR experiences, specials, talks, exhibitions, games and more.

In anticipation of all the weird and wonderful things we’re cooking up for this very special 40th Anniversary edition of our genre party, here’s a first look at this year’s themes, artwork and highlights.
Just under a month until Imagine 2023. The contours of the upcoming festival edition have been known for some time, with special attention paid to Iran and Fantastic Alchemy in addition to the film programme. Therefore: it is high time to reveal more of the content.
