I like fairy tales and I love medieval monsters. Especially the goofy looking sort that exist in the beautifully decorated illustrations in texts that most likely lay in a monastic library for hundreds of years. The ones that look like theyre from 2D Bosch paintings. It’s fascinating how those images and the lore around those monsters transmogrified through the ages - following general patterns and adapting to different cultural atmospheres. The vampire is no exception and nearly reaches the heights…

I found this by searching for movies made on the 16mm format. I didn't know it existed. Pre-memento Nolan is cool. It's pretty solid as far as visuals - black and white, noir-esque dark lighting. Really well done, tight execution. Some of the dialogue and acting is mid-brow. They talk really fast in a way that ruins the flow sometimes, but it's not cringey.
