  Lots of things to say the 2nd time around but I’ll keep it brief:

  -the twins theme seems to encourage a reading not of sameness but instead of difference; man and wife, brother and sister, young and old, city and nature, human and nonhuman, tragedy and comedy, etc.
  -Paterson and Laura’s relationship and mannerisms seem to match what I would imagine husband and wife relationships in the 50s, and I wonder if Jarmusch’s script asks them to act like a…
