  It's so funny how insufferable the characters become when they speak English. But when they speak in their native tongue, they drop an all-timer like:

  "It's different from when you first ejaculate, when your penis has been rubbed 100,000 times like mine"

  Slap on A24 at the beginning of this movie and this will win you an Oscar.

  Well, it had big shoes to fill, and while it stands on two feet, it doesn't do more than enough in pretty much most areas except the Colosseum battles. It's almost like it was doomed to begin with, which is obvious given the first never needed a sequel.

  My biggest complaints would be that the story had really similar beats and Paul Mescal doesn't have the same magnetism as Russell Crowe, but those were always going to be the most…

  Fun, predictable, borrows from a lot of movies.

  It also boasts one of the best trailers to ever exist, which is why I'm proud of myself for bravely watching this instead of Star Wars Episode I again
