Yah I cried.
Hayao Miyazaki depicts love so beautifully and so tender. I can see hints of “How Do You Live?” in this film which makes more sense of why that was his next film after this one.

Who was going to tell me that the dream sequence in Vertigo was going to fuck that hard? Who was going to tell me that there was even a dream sequence? Had to rewatch the dream sequence again because of how hard it goes. Can you tell how much I loved the dream sequence? Anyways. Good movie but what a fucked ending.
