No sense of magic at all, just dull.
Good old geezer gets to become King and make a cabinet consisting of all his mates from down the way. The gap between what this film throws at you in aid of entertaining you and what you actually feel is gigantic. The Bourne Supremacy 2004
Bourne’s figured out who he is, now he needs to figure out how he is - it plays on our fears that we might be bad people. More of a taught script structure than the first. The “shaky cam” doesn’t bother me as much as it did when I was a kid, perhaps since then it’s become ubiquitous. I also followed the plot a lot better lol.

You’ll be shocked at how engaging these apparently normal scenes of middle class life. Pay attention to the title and they become a mystery to unravel. Every performer is superb. Naturalistic, free of melodrama, relatable, with just a hint of dry comedy. It implies that a million tiny things to be dissatisfied with can make a monster, despite an outer shell of respectability. Shows that budget is no obstacle to cinema that passes the shower test (whether you are still thinking about the film in the shower the next morning).
