this movie is phenomenal, love love love the notion that the audience isn’t even allowed to get a read on tashi, and when pat says, “i see you for what you are”… you think you’re going to get something, but you just get “really fucking hot” or whatever.

it is possible that this is a bad movie. i spent the entirety of it being like… damn, this might just be bad. but towards the end, when owen/isabel screams at the birthday party it made me so emotional. like they were just building emotions up and then releasing in such big ways, which was intense. the whole thing about him suffocating was a cool portrayal and reminded me of the rotting fruit in russian doll. the phoebe bridgers cameo…
