    Somehow, I actually never saw it growing up. I think I vaguely remember hearing, even then, that it was kind of meh? So now, on vacation with a group of friends of my same age group, we came across it about to start while channel surfing and it was the popular consensus to watch it. I got the sense that my friends had nostalgia for it.

    Fair warning: my Letterboxd "reviews" are generally more bullet-point thoughts written in the immediate aftermath of viewing.

    A little uneven, but I still found it pretty compelling.

    I happen to be pretty familiar with the full picture of what happened at Altamont, thanks to later reporting, podcasts, & etc. I feel like this film was an effective augmentation of what I already knew, but I can't help wondering what someone who didn't know much about it going in would get out…
