Somehow, I actually never saw it growing up. I think I vaguely remember hearing, even then, that it was kind of meh? So now, on vacation with a group of friends of my same age group, we came across it about to start while channel surfing and it was the popular consensus to watch it. Holy shit, Gerard Butler has the ugliest singing voice in the history of ever. His singing voice is uglier than his gnarly deformed-face makeup when his mask gets taken off. No amount of Emmy Rossum being able to sing beautifully for days can disguise Butler's terminal one-man cacophony.
