God this one is so funny. Last time I watched it a few years ago I wasn't really paying attention because it was in a convention hotel room. There's so much I completely forgot despite this being my favorite as a kid, like Eric being the one to save Alan from the raptors, and the existence of Billy even.

That was so SO good, definitely surpassed my expectations. I love how it managed to keep a heartwarming thread through the story still despite how abusrd it was. Some great effects, especially the wasps. Loved the babysitter being named Annie Wilkes. I know a lot of people absolutely hated it, and I think that's because of the scene showing Death right at the end. People get really weird about when movies like this have an obvious supernatural element but show it or address it directly.

HOLY SHIT
I'm so happy, I haven't been this blown away by a movie in so long, and in every aspect too. The cinematography, the foreshadowing and setups, even the story itself is phenomenal and so original. You could try and call it an adaptation of Picture of Dorian Gray but it wouldn't be exactly accurate.

Ehhh.
I only caught the second half because i had to miss film club last week. But it feels like just too much in every area. Like if the accent had been just a little less, the moaning was a little less.I always heard jokes about how bad Keanu was in this growing up but holy shit it's like stunningly bad.
Of course the makeup is incredible but it's not enough to save it, I wasn't particularly impressed by anyone's performance either.
