  ästhetisch gut umgesetzt, gutes pacing, tolle schauspielerische leistung, aber hat einfach viel zu wenig biss.
  sich anbahnende völlige eskalationen werden immer doch noch zu einem irgendwie feel good ende gelenkt, was am ende den kinosaal mit einem "hach ja, die pflegekräfte habens schwer, wir sollten die viel mehr wertschätzen" zurücklässt, das filmische äquivalent zum klatschen während der pandemie.

  ich hätte stattdessen gerne einen film gesehen, der mich denken lässt: dieses ganze drecksystem muss brennen
  ("this is going to hurt", wenn auch über ärzt*innen, hat das zb bei mir geschafft)

  und: race dynamiken wurden viel zu wenig beleuchtet.

  i found the birthing scene to be heartbreaking, painful and all the more important for that reason. to push a being into this world, a world that does not even attempt to understand you, hoping for your child to understand you while simultaneously hoping it'll never be as misunderstood as you are.

  sorry but this really let me down. felt like overused kdrama tropes stacked together with a fancy cast and a somewhat important message. the characters felt extremely cliché and one-dimensional. the violent depictions were unnecessary and cruel.
