  “ Is that my daughter in there?” deserves the same iconic status as “ What’s in the box?”. Mystic River kept me on edge the entire time, as much as I enjoyed the plot and the performance of the cast, especially that of Sean Penn, I don’t think I’ll ever watch it again.

  Anora doesn’t live up to the hype surrounding it. I went in with high expectations but it ended up being such a letdown. I had to skip many boring and repetitive scenes and at times it was downright uncomfortable to watch. We definitely needed more of her and Igor and less cursing and overly graphic scenes.

  After falling in love with In The Mood For Love and Fallen Angels I was excited to finally give Chungking Express a try. As expected, Wong Kar Wai’s signature cinematography was mesmerizing. The film had a dreamy quality when it comes to the color, motion, and emotion. 

  But beyond the visuals, Chungking Express was underwhelming. I got the message but the characters felt so distant and I just couldn’t bring myself to care about their dramas and little worlds. Maybe it’s one of the movies that I need revisit another time in a different mood.
