    Caught in an era of drought for the studio, The Black Cauldron fails at making its world interesting or giving its characters an ounce of development, things happen just because and characters behave just because, their introductions uneventful perhaps with the sole exception of The Horned King whose design and voicework feel a little more inspired, despite the weak danger he ultimately presents and a resemblance to Skeletor.
