love seeing social satire that spells out ideas which initially wouldn't be consciously acceptable by the audience. there's a perfectly nuanced bridge. but sometimes, repeated impressions of violence and humor primarily serve as a distraction to keep people from stripping back the layers into critical commentaries, usually in populist agendas. here, humor's used as a device to illustrate the steady moral decline of the u.s., with plenty of social critiques smattered throughout without getting preachy or overbearing in metaphors.
anyway, Miner was right: "comic relief for a cynical time"
