Keke Akira Slide
10/10
Every single frame of this entire movie was one of the most beautiful I've ever seen.
Really wonderful special effects throughout. The way the creature moves in its first form just feels so perfectly uncanny, the decision to use a puppet for reference was a wonderful one.
Reminds me, in a good way, of Excision. Doesn't go to the same Really dark places but still touches on the same horror of being a young woman through an absurd domestic lens.
The contrast of the Vlog world of the mother (and accompanying shots) vs the more composed horror shots strikes an interesting balance.
Really interesting metaphor on de-personalization through expectation, jealousy, rage
