  The Western train moves on. Winchester ‘73, if you look at the poster you’d expect Jimmy Stewart as the lead. However, it’s the Winchester 1873 rifle that’s the real lead here. Stewart is in Dodge City looking for Dutch Henry Brown. In the meantime he wins a Winchester ‘73 rifle in a shooting contest.  Trouble ensues and the Winchester changes hands multiple times until Stewart finally faces off with Dutch.   Stagecoach 1939

  ★★★½ Watched 15 Feb 2025

  A groundbreaking western from 1939, expertly directed by John Ford. This one is all about the diverse characters and their places in society. These characters are on a ride of a lifetime culminating with a fantastically shot battle with the Apache in the third act. And as groundbreaking as this movie is, as expertly shot as it is, as wonderfully cast as it is, it’s more of a respect than a love for me.

  In anticipation for the new sequel, I had to show the older kids this all time classic of my childhood. And of course they loved it. One of the greatest horror comedies, one of the greatest 80’s movies, heck just one of the greatest movies of all time! RIP Harold Ramis…we still miss you!

  I’m here for the Will Smith set. Heck, let’s be honest…we’re ALL here for the Will Smith set. But first you must get through a dumb b list loaded intro (I wasn’t watching live so I skipped right through that), then Rock does an almost full show before hitting up with the Willie Will stuff in the last 5-10 min.
