The Wailing is worth watching for the visuals alone. The Korean landscapes and cinematography are legitimately stunning.

I did not expect this to blow me away. I never saw a trailer, and only knew Aubrey Plaza was in it. I like her, but expected this to just be a funny little raunchy comedy. Not even close.

Shot beautifully and edited with incredible energy. The time jumps keep you on your toes, but never confused - a rare and usually under-appreciated accomplishment.
When the stakes are low, but at the same everything is on the line… the movie has me. The concepts and characters are thought-provoking and fully realized.
