Where the Wild Things Are 2009
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I didn’t remember much of this movie from when I watched as a kid, only thing I knew was that someone got their arm ripped off.
On rewatch I found this film really brings you back to how scary navigating the world around you can be, especially as you learn more about it. A bit slow placed at times but establishes such an interesting universe of imagination and “kid logic” while working through heavy feelings.

I like that the female penguins have boob shading. And that Elijah wood is the main penguin with shaken baby syndrome. Also rocking with his foreign friends. Strange religious undertones.
