When being spoiled and gay is your entire identity... It just feels so forced and desperate. The movie suggests several times that there is a “right” way to be gay. AND ends with Simon peer pressuring another closeted student to come out in front of the entire school. Was NO lesson learned??? Gross. And just because it’s gay, does not make falling in “love” through an anonymous email exchange any less stupid. That kind of logic belongs in A Cinderella Story, not this.
