Despite a memorable poster, some good cinematography, an eerie soundtrack and some creative kills, this movie just isn’t very good. Mostly this is due to it’s nonsensical twist ending that was thrown in at the last second, as well as having a lot of dull moments, too many red herrings and being about 25 minutes too long.

Imagine Rocky meets Star Wars, or no, Rocky IV meets the 1980 Flash Gordon and you might have a slight idea of what this is like. It’s about an intergalactic fighting tournament where the first human in hundreds of years wants to become champion. Is it a great movie? No, but it is thoroughly entertaining and a pretty fun watch. It also doesn’t overstay its welcome, with a runtime of only 93 minutes. I’d say if you’re a fan of cheesy 80’s sci-fi flicks then this might be a decent one to check out sometime.
I only just realized how creepy the soundtrack is in this movie, and all the actors do a great job. My only issue is that the Scarecrow doesn't show up too often, I wish they'd shown him a bit more. Still a pretty solid made for TV movie though.
