  Gritty, gripping, and dismal, Good Time is pulpy and anxiety-inducing neo-noir heightened by Daniel Lopatin’s (Oneohtrix Point Never) often palpitating score. Despite the obvious poor and unscrupulous decisions made by the film’s anti-hero (Robert Pattinson), I still found myself rooting for him to prevail in his pursuits because I found the sibling bond between he and his brother to be so endearing. Would recommend if you vibed with Uncut Gems (also directed by the Safdie brothers and scored by Daniel Lopatin) and/or Enter the Void. 🔳◼️◾️▪️

  A look at Adam Driver driving and finding poignancy in the prosaic parts of his character’s permanence. 

  Given the poetic nature of Paterson, I wrote a haiku to summarize my review of the film:
