Objectively, several movies were better than this in 2024. But I mean this so genuinely when I say that this was my personal favorite. 6th watch and I still had a goofy grin on my face the entire time. Lovely, lovely.

Dune: Part Two 2024
I can echo what literally everyone else is saying here. In the conversations of the greatest media ever put to screen, Dune has become worthy of a spot right next to Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Paul’s journey to become this religious figure could lend itself to a lot of tropes but it’s avoided so easily by just a little bit of confidence both from the character, screen writers, and the actor himself. Chalamet completely earns his stripes…

Challengers 2024
Was so perfect for 99.9% of its runtime. The acting, specifically from Zendaya, was fantastic. It has the healthiest use of sex I’ve ever seen on screen. The non-linearity is something that took some adjusting, but ultimately it served it well. The only gripe I have, and it’s kind of a big one, is the ending. Or rather, the lack of one. The ending for the 2 guys? Fantastic. The ending for Tisha? Too perfect. Not in quality, but she got no repercussions for her actions, nearly all of which were shitty.
