Let me first start off by saying this would’ve been much better handled as a mini-series, which each of the five years leading up to the events of the game being an episode. That said, I think they handled this movie very well in terms of important plot points in the first year.

The meek shall inherit.
Little hard to hear at times and Superbad didn’t come out until late 2007 but a really good, strange movie. Pacing was a little eh, especially in the first act.
Love the allusion to a moth…perfect. Loved Keoghan’s switches between personalities. True Mastermind. Also, the height difference between Keoghan and the other actors was interesting because it made him come across as meek and shy. It felt intentional. Cinematography was on point.
