  Can you enter a system that’s inherently evil, and still come out a decent person? At least through just the first part, the film seems to be unsure. However, what is clear is that ideals are not all you need. Imagination and will to achieve must be present or a life as a cog of the machine awaits.

  Maybe a tad too rambling at times, but it really is wonderfully shot and the acting is great. Fight scenes went insane every time. Everyone moved so gracefully that in the moments without it was all the more visceral.

  Start’s as a classic moral dilemma film before transitioning to a banger fast paced police movie. Spielberg totally ripped his flow from Kurosawa on a couple of these shots. Love all of the scenes of just 30+ dudes thinking hard. Also love how Japanese cops are also thumb heads.
