Pretty good but I didn’t like it quite as much as I wanted to. Chalamet was great and so was Ed Norton (nice surprise to see him) and I was overall pretty fascinated by Dylan as a character and how fuckin weird he was. I think musical biopics just have an inherent ceiling as to how good they can be - and this one hit it.

horribly directed and pointlessly grotesque. if you know even a basic synopsis of the story of jesus (the most famous tale in human history) you will be bored. pretty much nothing happens in terms of character or plot outside of what you were told at the age of 13 except the “suffering” of christ is elevated to torture porn. either mel gibson can’t tell a story or the story of christ is a bad one for film; my guess is both.

Josh Hutcherson as the finance crypto bro supervillain who’s mom is the president is one of the better roles I’ve ever seen in a Wick-style action movie

It’s like the writing team was instructed to put in all of the elements you would usually expect - but cut out the fluff so we can keep it at 105 minutes…

Well, Hollywood’s favorite eccentric is back at it again, with what is arguably his most avant-garde production yet.

I don’t even know if this can properly called a biopic, because it treats itself as more of a surrealistic music video/montage that vaguely introduces plot points here and there, which is almost impressive considering it had over 2 1/2 hours to work with.

One of the biggest things I can commend this film for is that it addresses Elvis’s relationship with…
