This one was my personal favorite as a kid and I still think about the opening derailment scene every time I get on a roller coaster.
The dialogue and writing is maybe the most egregious yet in the series.
BUT, it’s pretty incredible how such a silly mid-tier horror movie from 2006 has better cinematography, transitions and lighting than your average blockbuster currently.

Putting aside that it’s a fairly unoriginal addition to the cult horror genre of late, it overall struggled tonally for me.

It’s really remarkable how Lynch is able to elicit such a strong feeling of unease and fear in his movies.
The scenes of sexual assault and substance abuse are not glamorized or washed out and really forces you to confront the reality of these situations.
