Okay, sorry, the writing and dialogue in THIS one is the most egregious.
Even though it’s a classic benchmark of the movies this one relies far too heavily on jugs glugging liquid that leads to mayhem.
Definitely the laziest installment yet, doesn’t have an interesting angle that the other sequels have managed to conjure up.
Some of the worst acting thus far too.
Always fun though.
Something really charming and old school about this movie.
A little over complex and stilted in some ways but the cast is really great.
Stylistically beautiful as well.
Might have to rewatch because I was a little tired from being out the previous night and fell asleep for about 15 minutes in the middle of it.

It’s really remarkable how Lynch is able to elicit such a strong feeling of unease and fear in his movies.
The scenes of sexual assault and substance abuse are not glamorized or washed out and really forces you to confront the reality of these situations.
All the classic themes are here and the ending showcases the unnerving point that lynch is trying to get across. The perfect plasticine world where we can pretend evils are not happening, but it’s only because of the facade that evil is able to exist.
